Kingsbridge SCITT Governance Information (from Feb 2025)
Back in November 2024, the ITT Market Board approved our request to change the accredited legal entity name from Community First Academy Trust to Achievement Through Collaboration Trust, effective from 1 February 2025. From February 2025 governance of Kingsbridge EIP SCITT will be overseen by Achievement Through Collaboration Trust (AtC).
Our current Trust lead school is Platt Bridge Community School, which works in partnership with a large number of primary and secondary schools across the North-West. Kingsbridge EIP SCITT also operates a successful Wirral Hub and we are actively working with schools and trust leaders to establish new ITT Hubs, which are set to launch in September 2025
In March 2022 Ofsted commented that “Leaders engage well with schools to identify the needs of the sector and to develop the ITE curriculum further. Leaders recruit members of the partnership’s headteacher board carefully. This strategic group provides effective challenge, support and guidance for the long-term development of the SCITT.”
The core principles of good governance are:
- clarity of purpose;
- openness and transparency;
- integrity;
- accountability;
- effectiveness.
Kingsbridge Regional Partnership Board (RPB)
The governance of Kingsbridge EIP SCITT is supported by a Regional Partnership Board which has strategic representatives from our training partners and our local partnership schools.
The RPB takes responsibility for ensuring the training leads to effective and well-trained teachers. All the members of the RPB share experience of, and a commitment to, initial teacher training through Kingsbridge.
The Kingsbridge Regional Partnership Board (KRPB):
